Everyone has the courage to dream, but very few people have the courage to take risks to make those dreams come true. Pravin Arvind Jhanke is one of the few entrepreneurs who, despite limited resources, economic challenges and social pressures, made a strong mark in the construction sector on the strength of his self-confidence and hard work.
Pravin ji completed his primary education from class 1st to 4th in Zilla Parishad Marathi School. Education from class 5th to 10th is J.E. School, Muktai Nagar. He further obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Sant Muktabai College and then completed his MBA from IMR College, Jalgaon.
After completing his education, he went to Pune and worked in various small and big companies, but he was not interested in the job. During an interview he was told in clear words –
“For the salary of your three people, we can hire six commerce graduates.”
This moment was the most disappointing moment of his life, but it changed his direction.
One day, while sitting with friends over a tea stall, the idea of starting a business came to me. The financial condition was normal, the capital was almost zero and the responsibilities at home were huge – yet he decided to do something different.
After returning to the village, taking care of his father’s illness and household responsibilities, he started a small-scale business of buying and selling plots. He was successful in this, but he did not get spiritual satisfaction. There was a question in his mind – “What can be done differently from others?”
He remembered a sentence he learned during MBA –
“Profit is the reward for taking risks.”
With this thinking, he decided to start a row house project on his own plot. The initial capital was only Rs 4-5 lakh. Family worries, negative reaction from relatives – bearing everything, he took a bold step.
The construction of the first building was completed in the year 2013-14. All the row houses were sold out within a year due to their excellent quality, well-planned planning and attractive design. That’s where his real construction business started.
Till date he has completed more than 150 to 200 successful projects of row houses and apartments. From 2013 till now, he has had the honor of making the “dream home” of hundreds of families come true.
