7-seater dream for 6 lakhs, new Nissan Gravite is giving open challenge to Ertiga, know which has the real advantage

Cheapest 7 Seater Car India: The demand for 7-seater cars is continuously increasing in the Indian auto market, especially in those families where the budget is limited but the needs are big. Now Nissan has presented a new challenge in this segment with its recently launched 7-seater Nissan Gravite. This model is directly competing with Maruti Ertiga which has been maintaining a strong hold in the market for a long time.

Big difference in price, relief for budget people

Starting ex-showroom prices for the Gravitas start at ₹5.65 lakh and go up to around ₹9.2 lakh for the top variant. Whereas the price of Ertiga starts from ₹ 8.80 lakh and reaches approximately ₹ 12.94 lakh. It is clear that Gravity has emerged as a more affordable option for customers looking for a 7-seater in a low budget.

Design and interior: youth style or family comfort?

The look of Gravity is modern and bold like an SUV. It has an attractive front grille, LED lights and a sub-4 meter compact design. This platform may be inspired by Triber, but Nissan’s styling makes it more fresh and youthful.

Talking about the interior, it has floating touchscreen, digital instrument cluster and more than 150 seating configuration options. The third row is removable, although its compact size makes it more suitable for children. On the other hand, the cabin of Ertiga is more spacious, premium and comfortable. The good legroom, reclining seats and family-friendly space make it great for long trips.

Features and Safety: Value for Money vs Feature Packed

Features like touchscreen infotainment, rear AC vent, multiple airbags and ESC are available as standard in Gravitas. Whereas Ertiga has advanced features like Auto AC, Cruise Control, 360 degree camera (top variant), Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In terms of safety, Gravit has features like 6 airbags, ESC and hill start assist. Dual airbags are standard on the Ertiga, but its reliability and strong track record make it trustworthy.

Engine and Mileage: Which has more power?

The Gravitas is powered by a 1.0 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine (about 72 PS), which comes with manual and AMT gearboxes. Its mileage is around 19-20 kmpl. Ertiga has a 1.5 liter K15C petrol engine (103 PS), which gives a mileage of around 20.5 kmpl. CNG option is also available with it, which is a big plus point for a budget family.

Which one to choose?

If you are on a tight budget and want a stylish, compact 7-seater, the Nissan Gravitee may be a better deal. But Maruti Ertiga is still a strong contender for more space, powerful engine, CNG option and long-term reliable performance.
