Weather: Alert of heavy rain in 12 states, IMD warns of thunderstorm
The weather patterns in the country are constantly changing. Before the onset of summer, rain has once again increased the problems of the people. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of moderate to heavy rain in 12 states of the country for February 24.
New Delhi: Before the onset of summer in the country, rains are now causing problems for the people by becoming an untimely disaster. According to the Meteorological Department, rain warning continues in 12 states of the country. In some states, problems may increase further due to strong storm and lightning. Problems may increase in Punjab due to dense fog in the morning on 24th February.
Maximum temperatures are likely to rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over northwest India in the next 4 days. At the same time, the maximum temperature in Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh is likely to drop by about 2 degrees Celsius in the next 3 days.

- Maharashtra
In eastern India, there is a possibility of thunderstorm and lightning in Assam, Meghalaya, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Telangana including the Ganga plains. At the same time, there may be sporadic light rain in the Himalayan states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand from 26 to 28 February.
Weather of Delhi and UP
The weather will be clear in Delhi on 24 and 25 February. In the morning, light wind will blow at a speed of 10-15 km/hour, which will provide relief in pollution. The maximum temperature is likely to be 28°C and minimum 14°C. In Uttar Pradesh, there may be light scattered rain in Western UP. Districts prone to rain include Baghpat, Amroha and Moradabad.
Temperature will rise in the districts of eastern UP, which include Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Ballia, Basti, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra and Bhadohi. In Lucknow the maximum will be 28°C and minimum 14°C, in Kanpur the maximum will be 29°C and minimum 15°C.
Bihar and North Indian states
There is no possibility of rain in Bihar tomorrow, but the temperature may increase by 1-2°C. The affected districts include Patna, Gaya, Jehanabad, Siwan, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga and Bhagalpur. The maximum in Patna will be 29°C and the minimum will be 16°C. Rain warning in Uttarakhand from 26 to 28 February in Nainital, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Champawat, Tehri and Almora. The maximum in Dehradun will be 22°C and the minimum will be 11°C.
In Himachal Pradesh, there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in Shimla, Kullu, Mandi, Una, Hamirpur, Solan, Sirmaur and Lahaul-Spiti till 26-28 February. The temperature in Manali can drop to a maximum of -1°C and a minimum of -11°C. Chance of rain in Anantnag, Baramulla, Pulwama, Shopian, Kulgam of Jammu and Kashmir. Maximum 13°C and minimum 1°C in Srinagar, temperature may increase by 3-4°C in Jammu and Kathua.
Weather of other states
Rajasthan: There is no possibility of rain in most of the districts. Maximum temperatures will increase in Jaipur, Ajmer, Alwar, Barmer, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Gangapur City.
Madhya Pradesh: Chance of rain in Jabalpur, Katni, Morena, Rewa, Sagar, Satna, Shahdol, Vidisha, Khargone and Datia. Maximum 29°C and minimum 17°C in Bhopal, mild heat will prevail in Indore and Gwalior.
Tamil Nadu: Light to moderate rain in Western Ghats areas, no rain likely in Puducherry and Karaikal. Fishermen have been warned to stay away from the sea shore.
