What is Doha Agreement? Why did Pakistan remind Afghanistan of this?
What is Doha Agreement : Pakistan has recently attacked seven targets in the border areas of Afghanistan, in which many civilians have been killed. Pakistan claims that the attacks were not to cover up its security failures, but were in response to suicide attacks for which the Pakistani Taliban and Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) claimed responsibility. After these attacks, Pakistan is afraid of retaliation from the Taliban, which has threatened to respond at the appropriate time.
After the attack, Pakistan is appealing to the international community to put pressure on the Taliban. Pakistan has cited the Doha Agreement, in which the Taliban had committed not to use its land for terrorist activities. However, the Doha Agreement was signed between the US and the Taliban, and Pakistan was not a direct party to it. From this it seems that Pakistan is trying to present itself as a victim in front of the international community.
There was a promise of withdrawal of the army
Under the Doha Agreement, the US promised to withdraw its and NATO forces from Afghanistan, in return for which the Taliban promised to prevent international terrorist groups from using its territory. The agreement also mentioned promoting security related discussions between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Urge to comply with Doha Agreement
Now Pakistan is urging the international community to put pressure on Afghanistan to abide by the Doha Agreement, although it itself is not a direct party to this agreement. It remains to be seen how the Taliban reacts to this matter and how the international community deals with the situation. Let us tell you, similarly, after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam of Jammu and Kashmir last year, Pakistan was very nervous due to India’s retaliatory action Operation Sindoor. He had appealed to America several times to stop conflicts between the two countries. After that peace was restored between India and Pakistan.
