T20WC 2026 ZIM vs WI Playing 11: Sikandar Raza-led Zimbabwe will square off against Shai Hope-led West Indies in the 44th match of the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 on February 23 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
Both sides have remained unbeaten in the group stages and will be aiming to extend their winning streak.
The cricketing sides have met on four occasions, with West Indies has 3 wins while Zimbabwe have one victory.
Zimbabwe won the toss and opted to bowl. Speaking at the toss, Sikandar Raza said, “We’re going to have a bowl first. Looking at the game that was played in Mumbai and also looking at the history.”
“Looks like a ground that is a lot suitable for chasing, and also our seamers have done so well. Looks like a good deck, but we want our seamers to have the best chance to make early inroads,” added Sikandar Raza.
“That’s certainly a great record to have at such of the iconic ground in the world. This ground has got such a beautiful history, and if we can write our name in the history books, that will be brilliant,” concluded Sikandar Raza.

Meanwhile, West Indies captain Shai Hope said, “We would have probably bowled first as well. But that’s how the game has unfolded now, so we’re happy to adapt.”
Speaking on today’s West Indies Cricket team players list, Shai Hope said, “Shepherd comes in, Chase misses out.”
“Regardless of conditions or records, it’s about turning up and playing the right brand of cricket when it counts,” concluded Shai Hope.
