First day of Chief Minister Yogi’s visit to Singapore successful: three MoUs worth Rs 6,650 crore
Singapore/Lucknow, 23 February. On the very first day of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s visit to Singapore, the state has achieved a major investment achievement. Three memoranda of understanding (MoUs) worth a total of Rs 6,650 crore were signed with Singapore-based Universal Success Group. According to officials, these investments are proposed in strategic areas like group housing, logistics parks and hyperscale data centres.
According to the government spokesperson, through these projects, direct and indirect employment opportunities will be created for more than 20 thousand youth. The Chief Minister informed the investors about the policy stability of the state government, better connectivity and rapidly developing industrial infrastructure and assured cooperation at every level.
Under the first MoU, an international theme based group housing township will be developed on 100 acres of land near Noida International Airport in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority area. An investment of Rs 3,500 crore is proposed in this project and it is expected to create about 12,000 jobs. The project is planned to start in the year 2027.
Under the second agreement, a logistics park will be developed in an area of 50 acres on the Kanpur-Lucknow Highway. The proposed project will generate around 7,500 employment opportunities with an investment of Rs 650 crore. This has also been targeted to be started by the year 2027. This is expected to give new impetus to the industrial and export activities of the state.
Under the third MoU, a hyperscale data center park with 40 MW IT power capacity will be set up on 10 acres of land in Noida/Greater Noida area. The project, with an investment of Rs 2,500 crore, will generate around 1,500 jobs. It is planned to be started in the year 2028.
The Chief Minister said that the Uttar Pradesh government is committed to creating a favorable environment for investors and continuous work is being done to establish the state as the country’s leading data center hub and a major destination for industrial investment. These agreements signed on the first day of the Singapore tour are being considered an important achievement in the direction of strengthening the economy of the state, giving a new direction to urban development and ensuring employment generation on a large scale.
