Ashwin’s anger over India’s defeat in Super-8, raised questions on these two decisions of the team

Meanwhile, former veteran Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin expressed his displeasure and raised questions on two decisions of the team. He clearly said that some decisions during the match cost India dearly.

Ashwin got angry

In fact, in the Super-8 match played in Ahmedabad, India had to face defeat by South Africa by 76 runs. After this defeat, former Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has raised questions on some of India’s decisions. Axar Patel did not get a chance in India’s playing 11 against South Africa, Washington Sundar was played in his place.

Taking aim at this decision of India, Ashwin said that the strategy of repeatedly changing the combination in big tournaments does not prove to be right. Ashwin further reminded that India was in a difficult situation in the last World Cup, when Axar formed an important partnership with Virat Kohli. He believes that Akshar could have played an important role in this match also and could have managed the team.

Rinku’s batting order was targeted

Former off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin also raised questions about the batting order of Rinku Singh, who had come to bat at number 8 against South Africa. Raising questions on this decision of the team, Ashwin said that sending a player like Rinku to bat so low raises questions on the team’s strategy. When there are 8 batsmen playing in the team, then a match-winning player like Rinku should be sent to bat at the top or middle order.
