Shimron Hetmyer equaled Adam Markram
Shimron Hetmyer has equaled South African captain Adam Markram in scoring the fastest half-century in the T20 World Cup 2026. Markram had completed his half-century in 19 balls against New Zealand in this T20 World Cup. At the same time, Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka also completed his fifty in 19 balls against Oman. India’s Ishan Kishan scored his half-century in 20 balls in the match against Namibia. In this match, Shimron Hetmyer played a stormy inning of 85 runs in just 34 balls.
