The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday released the complete schedule of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. This tournament will be played in England from June 12 to July 5, in which 12 teams will compete for the title. This time the tournament is going to be the biggest edition in history with 12 teams.
Let us tell you, host England, which will host the 2026 World Cup, will face Sri Lanka in the first match on June 12. At the same time, on June 13, there will be an All-European match between Ireland and Scotland at Old Trafford, which will be the beginning of the tournament for both the teams.
Let us tell you, this time Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland and Netherlands confirmed their place in the tournament through the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier held in Nepal recently. These four qualifying teams will now be joined by defending champions New Zealand, hosts and winners of the first edition in 2009 England, 2016 winners West Indies, current ODI World Cup winners India and six-time tournament winners Australia.
Let us tell you, Group A consists of Australia, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh and Netherlands. Whereas, England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Ireland and Scotland have been kept in Group B. This time the Dutch team will make its debut and start its campaign against Bangladesh.
