New series announced amid T20 World Cup, this team will play for the first time in hosting Afghanistan

A series of 3 T20 and 3 ODI matches will be played between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka. This will be the first time in the history of cricket that the Afghanistan team is hosting Sri Lanka. All the matches of this series will be played in Shahjahan, Dubai. This series will start on 13th March while the last match of the tour will be played on 25th March.

Afghanistan Cricket Board shared information

The information about this series with Sri Lanka has been shared on social media by the Afghanistan Cricket Board. This will be the second series between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. Before this, both have faced each other in T20 format in the year 2024. On this tour, there will be a T20 series of first 3 matches and after that the ODI series will start from March 20. The squad for this series has not been announced yet.

Sri Lanka eyes T20 World Cup
