Lucknow: The savage son murdered his father, kept his sister imprisoned in the room for 4 days, kept throwing the father’s body into pieces.

Lucknow, 24 February. A hair-raising incident has come to light in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, where 21-year-old Akshat Pratap Singh, the son of the killer of father Manvendra Singh in Ashiana area, is in the custody of the police. Manvendra Singh, who ran the pathology center, wanted his son to become a doctor, but Akshat was adamant on doing business. There was a fight between the two regarding this and Akshat killed his father by shooting him with a rifle.

Police investigation revealed that Akshat had kept his younger sister Kriti locked in the room for four days. Meanwhile, the savage kept cutting the intact body into small pieces and disposing of it. Akshat threatened Kriti that if she told anything to anyone, he would kill her too. Due to fear, Kriti remained locked in the room for four days. When the door opened, she hugged her relatives and cried loudly.

The incident took place around 4.30 am on February 20, when Akshat and his father Manvendra Singh had an argument over the preparation for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET). Akshat told the police that during this time his father had pointed a licensed rifle at him. While trying to snatch the rifle, a bullet was fired, due to which Manvendra died on the spot.

‘Father was pressurizing me to prepare for NEET’

Accused Akshat told the police, ‘Father was pressurizing me to prepare for NEET. When I refused to prepare, my father got angry and pointed his licensed rifle at me. The father got shot while trying to snatch the rifle.

Kriti screamed after seeing her father’s dead body

Hearing the sound of gunshot, Akshat’s younger sister Kriti came out of her room. She saw her father’s dead body on the floor and screamed. Akshat silenced her by threatening to kill her and kept her locked in the house for four days. During this time, Akshat kept disposing of his father’s body by cutting it into pieces.

Mother died in the year 2017

Manvendra Singh also ran pathology under the name Vardhaman in Saleh Nagar and Buddheshwar. His wife died in the year 2017. Manvendra’s father Surendra Pal Singh is a retired inspector and lives in Jalaun. On receiving information about the incident, he reached Ashiana.

Father’s missing report filed

To mislead the neighbours, Akshat said that his father had gone to Delhi for work on February 19 and did not return. He had also lodged a missing complaint in the police station on 20th February so that he would not be suspected. When the neighbors asked, he said that the police were not listening. Neighbors scanned the footage of cameras installed outside the houses. At around 12 o’clock on the night of 19th February, Manvendra was seen going inside the house in his car, after which he did not come out. In the footage, Akshat was seen going towards Sadrauna with the car.

The police started investigation after receiving a missing complaint of Manvendra Singh at Ashiana police station on February 21. Information was also taken from Manvendra’s brother Arvind Kumar, posted in Secretariat security.

The plan was to throw the dead body in Gomti

After the murder, Akshat dragged the dead body to the ground floor and kept it in an empty room. He planned to throw the body in the Gomati river, but due to the heavy weight of the body he could not do so alone. After this he bought an intact saw and cut his father’s body into pieces. To store the torso, he bought a blue drum and put it in it. Before he could dispose of the torso, his handiwork was exposed.

Akshat is B.Com and Kriti is 11th class student.

Akshat was studying from TS Mishra College. Younger sister Kriti is a class 11 student in LPS. The people of the locality also say that Akshat often brought a girl to his house, against which his father opposed. One theory of the police is also that Akshat wanted to dominate his father’s entire business.
