Congress started protests across the country on the arrest of IYC Chief Uday Bhanu Chib.
New Delhi. Congress workers on Tuesday protested in several states against the arrest of Indian Youth Congress Chief Uday Bhanu Chib. He has been sent to four-day police custody in connection with the AI Impact Summit protests. The student wing of the Congress, National Student Union of India (NSUI), protested at the National Capital against the arrest of Indian Youth Congress workers. NSUI’s new President Vinod Jhakar said that Uday Bhanu Chib has been arrested and it is non-democratic. IYC activists protested peacefully, they did not resort to violence, nor did they have any weapons. On the other hand, a university claimed that they had created a robot, while a Chinese social media handle revealed that it was actually purchased from China.

Congress workers said that we are protesting peacefully in the IYC office against the arbitrary arrest of our leaders. We will protest across the country until they are released. In Rajasthan’s Jaipur, Youth Congress workers led by its state president and Sangriya MLA Abhimanyu Poonia started a foot march from the Congress office to the BJP state headquarters. Youth Congress workers also demonstrated. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi supported the Indian Youth Congress for protesting at the AI Impact Summit and called them lions. Gandhi told Youth Congress workers not to be afraid of IYC chief Uday Bhanu Chib being sent to four-day police custody after seven party workers were arrested in connection with the shirtless protest. He said that there is patriotic blood inside you. You brought green revolution, created industry, brought IT revolution, and PM Narendra Modi ended all this. This came after the Patiala House Court on Tuesday granted four-day custody of Indian Youth Congress president Uday Bhanu Chib to Delhi Police in connection with the AI Summit Protest case.
