Peddi shooting not complete yet, release set for April 30; Ram Charan, entire cast working to meet deadlines

Director Buchi Babu Sana’s Telugu movie Peddi starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, is scheduled for release on 30 April and the team is working relentlessly without any gaps.

The team of Peddi has another 25 days of shooting pending. A source from the film industry said, “The shoot of Peddi still has more than 25 days left, while the film is slated for release in just 70 days. Reaching the target is definitely a tough task. The team has to keep working relentlessly without any gaps.”

The source said, “There is a special song in the film, and the star who will feature in it hasn’t been finalized yet. That song has been kept for the final schedule. Since it’s an addition, it won’t affect the core storyline. All the major action sequences have already been completed. Currently, only the talkie portions are being shot, so that part is expected to be wrapped up quickly.”

AR Rahman is composing music for Peddi. The source said, “Re-recording is a massive responsibility. With a perfectionist like AR Rahman handling the music, the process takes time, as he never compromises on quality. Moreover, since this is a big pan-India film, post-production work will also require considerable time and precision.”

The source added, “Despite the challenges, director Buchi Babu Sana and the entire unit are determined to meet the deadline at any cost. The team is confident that Peddi will definitely hit the screens as scheduled.”

Peddi is a sports action drama, which has been written by director Buchi Babu Sana. Venkata Satish Kilaru and Ishan Saksena are producing it under Vriddhi Cinemas and IVY Entertainment. Ram Charan is playing the titular role, while Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu and Divyenndu essay important roles in the movie.

Peddi began with the working title of RC16 in March 2024 and makers officially announced Peddi as its title in March 2025. Its shooting commenced in Mysuru on 22 November 2024 and the movie has been shot in Hyderabad, Colombo, Kanyakumari and Pune until November 2025.
