Agreement made without Cabinet advice, Rahul’s new claim on US trade deal

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to cancel the India-US trade agreement. He described this agreement as piercing like an arrow in the hearts of Indian farmers. Addressing the ‘Kisan Mahachoupal’ rally in Bhopal, Rahul said that after the decision of the US Supreme Court, PM Modi should cancel this agreement, but he will not be able to do so.

This demand of Rahul has come in the background of the decision of the US Supreme Court, in which Trump’s global tariff was declared invalid. The Congress leader made many serious allegations against PM Modi. He claimed that Modi hastily signed the trade deal with the US in the interest of Union Minister Hardeep Puri and industrialist Gautam Adani.

mention of the epstein file

Rahul Gandhi mentioned Hardeep Puri’s name appearing in the Epstein files. He said that this name was released to threaten PM Modi. The Epstein files in the US contain millions of documents, including videos and messages that have not yet been released. Rahul asked what is PM Modi’s relationship with Anil Ambani? He claimed that the case against Adani in America is actually not against Adani but against Modi. Adani cannot go to America or Europe because he faces criminal charges.

Rahul said that these were the two reasons due to which Modi withdrew from Parliament and finalized the agreement which was stuck for months. He alleged that Modi left Parliament and called Trump and said, ‘Sir, I am ready to do whatever you say.’ In this way he sold the country. Rahul said that Narendra Modi had compromised, he was trapped and was forced to sign the US-India trade agreement.

Questions raised on trade deal

The Congress leader also raised questions on the timing of the agreement. He said that this agreement was stuck for months, but when Rahul, as the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, asked questions to the BJP regarding the book of former Army Chief MM Naravane, Modi called Trump on the same day. Rahul claimed that Modi took this decision without consulting the cabinet. He said, ‘After my speech was over, the Prime Minister left the Lok Sabha. In the evening, without asking Rajnath Singh, Shivraj Chauhan, Gadkari or his cabinet, Narendra Modi called Trump. Trump tweeted that the Prime Minister of India called and said that he is ready to sign the US-India agreement. Nothing happened for four months, and suddenly Modi called and sold out the farmers of India, sold out the textile industry, and handed over all our data to America.

Rahul also accused the ruling NDA. He said that the excuse of opposition women MPs planning to attack PM Modi was false. Rahul asked, ‘This agreement was stalled for four months. Nothing happened in four months. Narendra Modi left Lok Sabha, you all saw it on TV. The next day a false pretext was made that they were going to be attacked. The truth is that the Prime Minister could not stand in Parliament and directly called Trump. Why did he do this?’

Narwane’s book was mentioned

Attacking the government on the unpublished book of former Army Chief General MM Naravane (retired), Rahul said, ‘General Naravane wrote in the book that when Chinese tanks were entering the Indian border, he called Rajnath Singh but did not get a reply. Ajit Doval and S Jaishankar also did not respond. The Prime Minister takes the decision of war, but the PM did not respond. He hid in his room and told the army chief to do whatever he thought was right. The Army Chief wrote that the Indian government left him alone that day.

Rahul stressed that the decision for war is political, not military. He said in the farmers’ rally that this agreement is against the farmers. Rahul reiterated that Modi sold India’s farmers, textile industry and data. He appealed to the farmers to pay attention to this issue and ask questions to the government.

BJP rejected

This rally took place in Bhopal, where thousands of farmers had gathered. These words of Rahul have become a topic of discussion in political circles. BJP has called these allegations baseless, but Congress said that this is the truth which should come out. The controversy over the US-India trade agreement is increasing and the opposition is putting pressure on the government by linking it to the farmers’ issue. Rahul said that Modi should cancel the agreement in the interest of farmers, but he will not be able to do so because he is trapped.
