Truck drivers earn more than IT engineers
According to Daman Singh, the starting salary of a fresh IT graduate in metro cities is around Rs 40,000. But after rent, taxes and food expenses, there is very little left over at the end of the month. He says that out of Rs 40,000, about 30 percent goes towards rent or PG.
After tax and other expenses, only about Rs 5,000 is left. In comparison, he claimed that his experienced heavy-duty truck drivers earn Rs 45,000 to Rs 55,000 in cash. According to him, drivers have to face less deductions like fare and income tax, due to which they are able to build houses in villages, whereas many engineers are paying EMIs in the city.

People said- more earning does not mean easy life
After this post went viral, mixed reactions were seen on social media. Some users supported the entrepreneur’s point by giving examples of the earnings and wealth of truck drivers.
At the same time, many people said that earning more does not mean an easy life, because trucking is a very difficult and risky job. Daman Singh also agreed that both the professions have their own challenges. He appealed not to underestimate blue-collar work and respect skills.
