Kal Ka Mausam: The weather is going to change once again across the country. India Meteorological Department According to (IMD), there is a possibility of rain, strong winds and hailstorm at some places in many states within the next 24 hours. This change may cause the temperature to drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius. Also, a warning has been given of wind blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. Farmers have been advised to take special precautions, while snowfall alert has been issued in the hilly states.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in East Madhya Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Lakshadweep. On February 27 and 28, there may be light rain in many areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand and snowfall in higher altitude areas. Hailstorm has also been predicted in parts of East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Odisha and Telangana.
Dense fog alert has been issued in 13 districts of North India. Apart from Bareilly, Aligarh, Agra and Kanpur of Uttar Pradesh, visibility may remain low in Mandi, Bilaspur, Hamirpur and Shimla of Himachal Pradesh in the morning. Fog conditions are also likely to persist in Amritsar, Patiala, Faridkot, Firozpur and Gurdaspur of Punjab.
The weather in Delhi is expected to be clear and there is no possibility of rain. However, the temperature may increase by 1 to 2 degrees in the next two-three days. The maximum temperature is expected to be 28 degrees and minimum 14 degrees Celsius. Light winds may blow in the morning.
There is no possibility of rain in Uttar Pradesh at present, but mild cold may persist in districts like Saharanpur, Bijnor, Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Rampur and Bareilly. The maximum temperature in Lucknow is expected to be 29 degrees and minimum 15 degrees Celsius.
The weather is likely to remain normal in Bihar also. There may be a slight increase in temperature in districts like Patna, Gaya, East and West Champaran, Buxar, Siwan, Samastipur and Darbhanga. The maximum temperature in Patna is likely to be 29 degrees and minimum 16 degrees Celsius.
There may be fog and light clouds in Jharkhand in the morning. There is a possibility of rain in Gumla, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Ranchi, Ramgarh and Khunti. The maximum temperature in Ranchi can be 27 degrees and minimum 14 degrees Celsius.
There is a possibility of rain and snowfall in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh on 26 and 27 February. It may rain in Nainital, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi, Pithoragarh and Pauri Garhwal. There are chances of snowfall in areas like Manali, Kullu, Mandi and Shimla, due to which a drop in temperature may be recorded.
At present, there is less possibility of rain in the plains in Jammu and Kashmir, but there may be snowfall in the higher areas. Districts like Srinagar, Kupwara and Baramulla may see a drop in temperature.
The effect of western disturbance has weakened in Rajasthan, due to which there is less possibility of rain. However, Jaipur, Udaipur, Bharatpur and Kota may remain partly cloudy. Light rain may occur in many districts of Madhya Pradesh including Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh and Bhopal.
Light to moderate rain is expected in parts of Tamil Nadu in South India till March 1. The maximum temperature in Chennai is expected to be 30 degrees and minimum 23 degrees Celsius.
