Kamala Hassan and Rajinikanth’s KHxRK reunion after 47 years will be a fun-filled entertainer: Anirudh

Anirudh said Kamala Haasan and Rajinikanth are coming together after 47 years and their reunion movie, tentatively known as KHxRK, is going to be a fun-filled entertainer.

In a recent interview, Anirudh said, “It’s going to be a fun-filled entertainer. We will give our best. It’s a very special film, as both legends are coming together after 47 years. This film is going to be superb. If you watch the promo, there isn’t much mass. Nelson’s script has come out very well. We’re going to work hard to deliver a big hit next year.”

Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth were last seen together on screen in the 1979 film Allauddinum Albhutha Vilakkum. The two will be seen together after a 47-year gap. The makers dropped a promotional video to announce the movie, which is tentatively known as KHxRK. Anirudh said that he and Nelson were excited to be seated beside the legends in the promo.

Music director Anirudh said, “We have done a lot of mass music for Kamal Haasan sir and Rajinikanth sir in Vikram and Jailer. For KHxRK we tried retro music, bringing back the 70s. It was surreal for me and Nelson to sit in the car alongside them, as it’s happening after 47 years.”

Their fans are all thrilled to see the legends together on single screens. Like their fans, Anirudh was also thrilled to hear the news about their movie together. He said, “When I heard they were coming together, I got very excited. It’s a double bonanza. We have already started working to deliver our best. Thanks for the amazing response to the promo.”

Talking about AI in the music industry, Anirudh said, “AI has become very wonderful; the way you use it is important. For Vettaiyan we have used AI for creating Malaysia Vasudevan sir voice. Now after 1 year it became very advanced. I can now sing and make 100 women sing on different pitch. Moving forward that’s the future. It’s a early bird, but everyone are going to use it in the future.”
