How did this case come to light?
According to police sources, on Sunday night two women reached Bagh Sewania police station and lodged a similar complaint. Both the complaints were different, but the method was the same. The first complaint was lodged by a 21-year-old girl from Mungeli (Chhattisgarh), while the second complaint was lodged by a 32-year-old woman from Bhopal.
How did the accused trap the girls?
Accused sisters Amreen and Afrin, who earlier lived in a slum in Abbas Nagar, had recently shifted to Sagar Royal Villa. It is believed that this luxurious house was bought with illegal money earned by exploiting girls.
The girls were called on the pretext of domestic jobs, but gradually they were taken to parties, pubs and lounges, where they were forced to mingle with rich men. Both victims said they were forced to consume alcohol and MD drugs, and were sometimes drugged and sexually assaulted.
What are the allegations of rape and threats?
The girl from Mungeli told that in December 2025, she was taken to Ahmedabad and there Yasir raped her. Apart from this, Bilal and Chanu also exploited at different times. The victim from Bhopal said that Chandan Yadav raped her in Amreen’s house, while Amreen was not there. The victim also alleged that she was threatened that if she said anything, she would be killed or defamed.
Pressure from burqa to namaz
Along with this, the name of Chandan Yadav also appeared in the FIR, who converted from Hindu religion to Muslim and told a victim that ‘I have adopted Islam, you also become a Muslim. I will get you a good marriage. The victim said that under pressure she was forced to convert and was later asked to wear a burqa and offer namaz.
What action did the police take?
During the arrest, the police confiscated the mobiles of Amreen, Afrin and Chandan. Many suspicious WhatsApp groups were also found from Amreen’s phone, in which pictures of many girls were found. Police are now examining financial transactions, travel records and digital communications to ascertain whether this was a limited crime or part of an inter-state network. DCP Gautam Solanki said, “The female complainant has lodged a report of rape. A crime has been registered and further investigation is underway. The accused are being interrogated.”
In how many states did the two sisters spread this network?
Police are now trying to find out whether this crime was limited to Bhopal only or was it part of a network extending to Gujarat and Mumbai. The victims said that when they tried to leave their jobs, they were threatened and blackmailed by taking humiliating photographs.
