This franchise, captained by Rishabh Pant, has revamped its brand identity, due to which the team will be seen taking the field in a new style in the upcoming season.

Now when the new logo will be seen on the team’s jersey, it is natural for the fans to ask what is the thinking behind this change and what is the meaning of the new design. LSG itself has released a video sharing the story behind this new identity, which is getting an overwhelming response from fans.

Earlier, only the figure of Garuda was visible in the logo of Lucknow Super Giants, which is considered a symbol of power, speed and dominance over the sky. But the new logo also includes the elephant (Gaja) along with Garuda, which symbolizes stability, strength and connection to the earth.

According to the video released by the franchise, creation began with energy and from that energy Garuda, the lord of the sky, was born. From the glory of Garuda, Gaja, the lord of power, was born. When sky and earth met, a new legacy Lucknow Super Giants was created. The team came up with the new logo with a message: “There is passion, there is storm, this is a new flight of Lucknow Super Giants.”

IPL 2026: LSG’s journey in IPL so far

Lucknow Super Giants made their debut in the IPL (IPL 2026) in 2022 and have impressed by reaching the playoffs in the first two seasons (2022, 2023). However the team missed out on winning the title. After this, the team’s performance declined in the seasons of 2024 and 2025 and it remained in 7th place. At present, among the 10 teams of IPL (IPL 2026), LSG is the only team which has not been able to reach the finals yet.
