1. Centre’s ‘Raah-Veer’ scheme to be implemented in Delhi
The Delhi government will implement the Centre’s ‘Raah-Veer’ scheme, which aims to encourage common citizens to provide immediate help to people seriously injured in road accidents. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced this on Monday. Under this scheme, any person who provides immediate assistance to a seriously injured road accident victim and makes arrangements to take him to a hospital or trauma center within the stipulated time limit will be given a reward of Rs 25,000 and a certificate of appreciation.

2. Delhiites will get free cylinder on Holi, Rs 853 will come to their account
There is good news for the people of Delhi. On the occasion of Holi they will get a free cylinder. Delhi’s Rekha Gupta government will start the free cylinder scheme from Holi. Under this scheme, money will be transferred directly to the accounts of the beneficiaries through DBT. All ration card holders will get the cylinder for free. Not only on Holi, but ration card holders in Delhi will also be given free gas cylinders on the occasion of Diwali.

3. 20% reservation for former firefighters in Delhi Police constable recruitment.
Lieutenant Governor V.K. Taking a big decision on Monday, Saxena announced to reserve 20 percent posts of male constable recruitment in Delhi Police for former firefighters. According to the announcement, former firefighters candidates will also get additional facilities in the recruitment process like relaxation in physical efficiency test, relaxation of 3 years in the maximum age limit. This step has been taken with the aim of providing better employment opportunities in the security forces to the firefighters who have completed the service. Agneepath Scheme was launched in the year 2022 with the aim of recruiting Indian youth for short-term service in the armed forces.

4. Delhi HC rejects PIL against Waqf Board and mosques
The Delhi High Court on Monday (23 February) rejected a PIL challenging the Waqf Notification of 1980. In this petition, three mosques located in Jahangirpuri were described as illegal occupation of public land. This petition was filed by a non-governmental organization (NGO) ‘Save India’.

Big decision of Delhi MCD: Many important proposals were passed in the Standing Committee meeting of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). Standing Committee Chairman Satya Sharma said that the vacant community buildings and schools of the corporation will be converted into skill development centers and academies. Delhi Police registers FIR in JNU campus violence case: Delhi Police has registered an FIR and started investigation into the fight that broke out between two student organizations on the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus late on Sunday night. Many students have been injured in this fight. According to police officials, after receiving information about the incident, the police immediately reached the campus and security was increased. On Monday, the CSO of the university gave a written complaint about this incident to the police. Police have registered a case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and started further investigation.
