Troubled by cervical spondylosis? Yogasana is effective in relieving neck pain and stiffness

Cervical spondylosis is a physical problem that occurs due to aging, wrong posture, prolonged use of computer or mobile, injury or wear of the disc. This causes wear and tear on the bones and discs of the neck, causing pain in the neck, stiffness in the shoulders, tingling in the hands, headache, dizziness and sometimes weakness. Yogasana has the solution to these problems.

According to Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, regular yoga practice strengthens the neck muscles, increases flexibility, improves blood circulation and provides great relief from pain and stress. Yoga helps in controlling the problem naturally by becoming a helpful alternative to medicines.

For cervical spondylosis, there are yogasanas and pranayam suggested by Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, which can be included in the daily routine to get relief. It contains cervical strength developer, which makes the neck muscles strong and flexible, reducing pain. Shoulder is a core strength developer, which relieves stiffness by strengthening the shoulder and neck joints. Tadasana straightens the entire spine, improves posture and reduces pressure on the neck.

It also includes Marjari Asana and Gomukhasana, which makes the spine flexible, stretches the neck and back muscles and provides relief by removing stiffness. Additionally, there is the simple Bhujangasana, which strengthens the neck and upper back, correcting forward bends. Yogasanas like Makarasana, Nadi Shodhana Pranayam, Bhramari Pranayam, Yoga Nidra are included, they relax the entire body and mind and are helpful in reducing pain.

By including these yoga asanas in daily routine, mental peace is achieved, neck related tension is reduced and neck muscles are strengthened, pressure on the disc is reduced and swelling and pain are reduced due to better blood flow. Regular exercise provides many benefits to the entire body.

Yoga can provide great relief from cervical spondylosis, but remember that it is not a complete cure. Take medical advice for this. It is also important to take precautions during this period. Consult a doctor or yoga expert before starting yoga, especially if the pain is severe or you have had surgery. Do the asana slowly, without applying force. Never bend or rotate the neck too much. Take special care in pregnancy, high blood pressure or other serious physical problems.
