India’s stand on Palestine has not changed, PM Modi will write a new chapter of defense and technology in Israel

Regarding this tour, all eyes of the world were focused on whether India would change its stand on the issue of Palestine? The main objective of this visit is to take the strategic partnership in defence, security and cutting-edge technology to the next level. Despite this, this visit of PM Modi is part of India’s ‘De-hyphenation’ policy. Two-State Solution: India still supports an independent nation and ‘Two-State Solution’ for Palestine. India views its relations with both the countries from a different and independent perspective. India is now moving towards becoming not only a buyer but also a co-producer. Anti-Ballistic Missile: India will discuss with Israel to develop advanced missile defense system. Laser-based security: The discussions also include sharing the technology of Israel’s famous laser-based air defense system (Iron Beam). Drones and stand-off missiles: There is a possibility of an MoU on co-development of high-tech drones and long-range missiles to strengthen border security. Yad Vashem: The Prime Minister will visit the Holocaust Memorial and pay tribute to the victims. Tricolor in the Knesset: The Israeli Parliament has been illuminated with the colors of the Indian tricolor to welcome PM Modi. Bilateral talks: PM There will be a private dinner and delegation level talks with Netanyahu, in which AI, quantum computing and agriculture will be discussed. Questions of Shashi Tharoor and opposition: Politics is also hot within the country regarding this visit. Congress MPs Shashi Tharoor and Jairam Ramesh have raised questions on the timing of this visit. The opposition says that when the conflict continues in Gaza, this visit can harm India’s traditional image on the Palestinian issue. However, the Government believes that India’s national interests and security are paramount.
