Patiala House Court has extended the police custody of all the five accused by four days. The accused will be presented in the court again on March 1. Patiala House Court has extended the police custody of five accused Krishna Hari, Kundan Yadav, Ajay Kumar, Narasimha Yadav and Jitendra Yadav.
Delhi Police had demanded before the court to extend the custody of the accused. Delhi Police said that custody was given for the first 5 days. Uday Bhanu Chib has been arrested and given transit remand as one of the persons who hatched the conspiracy. These people have to be confronted with Uday Bhanu and others.
According to the police, a person named Siddharth had printed and designed the t-shirt. He has been caught in Himachal and action is underway to bring him here. Then he has to be made face to face again. For this we need more days of custody.
Delhi Police said that a person named Ramesh Aggarwal had filed an anticipatory bail plea, which was heard by the Sessions Judge. There he said that he had printed one lakh T-shirts and these were purchased in the name of Indian Youth Congress.
At the same time, the defense side had opposed the demand of Delhi Police to extend the custody by five days.
Let us tell you that Congress’s ‘shirtless protest’ is being heavily criticized during the ‘India AI Impact Summit- 2026’ organized at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital. Congress leaders have also condemned it. While BJP and NDA allies are making scathing attacks on Congress, Congress leaders are trying to save the protesters.
Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge said that our youth associated with the Youth Congress have been arrested and sent to police and judicial custody in connection with the protests held at the AI Summit in Delhi. I strongly condemn this. These protests were done thoughtfully and in the national interest, hence they should not be considered as serious crimes.
No compromise of any kind with the interests of farmers is acceptable: Chauhan!
