The two-day sports competition concluded on Wednesday 25th February at the Government Post Graduate College, Obra, located in the city. At the conclusion of the sports competition, the Principal of the college, Professor Pramod Kumar, who was present as the chief guest in the program, addressed the students and said that sports are the basis of all-round development, brotherhood and discipline. He inspired them to rise above victory and defeat, play honestly, learn from defeat and remain humble in victory. And special guest Professor Subhash Ram gave the message of continuous practice in sports along with studies.
The program was presided over by Professor Radha Kant Pandey and sports in-charge Dr. Rajesh Prasad presented the vote of thanks. The program was conducted by Dr. Santosh Kumar Saini. On the second day of the annual sports competition, various types of competitions including three thousand meter race, two hundred meter race, triple jump, relay race were conducted in the college.
In the student race competition, first place was won by Gunja BA 5th semester, second place was won by Aarti Yadav B.Com 5th semester, third place was won by Tanshika Gupta BA 5th semester. In the 3000 meter student race competition, first place was won by Yash Awasthi B.Com 1st semester, second place was won by Avnish Kumar B.Sc. 3rd semester, third place was won by Sujal Kumar B.Sc. 1st semester. In the student triple jump competition, Ajay got first place, Vishnu Yadav got second place, Ankit Yadav got third place. In the same student triple jump competition, Archana Kumari got first place, Harshita Prajapati got second place, Priya Yadav got third place.
In the student category, Ajay Kumar BA 5th Semester hoisted the overall champion flag and in the girl category, Suman and Gunja BA 5th Semester hoisted the overall champion flag. RN Singh, Anil Singh and Sunil Singh were present as the jury in the competition. On this occasion, Dr. Upendra Kumar, Dr. Vikas Kumar, Dr. Vinod Bahadur Singh, Dr. Alok Yadav, Dr. Vibha Pandey, Dr. Students of various colleges including Vaishali Shukla, Dr. Sachin Kumar, Dr. Sangh Mitra, Dr. Anjali Mishra and Office Superintendent Rajeshwar Ranjan, Dharmendra Kumar, Mahesh Pandey, Abhishek Kumar, Arun Kumar Saifuddin were present.
