Who are Tufail-Zameer in Red Fort blast case? Patiala House Court sent two accused to 10 days NIA custody
In Delhi’s Patiala House Court, NIA has presented two suspects, Tufail Ahmed Bhatt and Zameer Ahmed, linked to the Red Fort blast and White Collar Terrorism module. Tufail, an AC technician by profession, faces a serious allegation of supplying AK-47 rifles for a terrorist conspiracy. In the Red Fort blast case of Delhi, Patiala House Court has sent two accused named Tufail Ahmed Bhat and Jamir Ahmed Ahnagar to 10 days NIA custody. It is alleged that they were collecting arms and ammunition.
Umar, Irfan and Adil had given rifle, pistol and live cartridges to Jamir. All three of them are associated with Ansar Ganjawat Ul Hind. The NIA had sought custody to gather more specific information to uncover the conspiracy. NIA had earlier asked for 15 days’ custody.

The names of Tufail and Jamir are in the hit list in the NIA investigation. Tufail Ahmed Bhatt is a resident of Diyarwani Batmaloo area of Srinagar. He works as an AC technician but under the guise of this, he used to collect logistics and weapons for terrorism. Not only this, but the rifle found in the locker of Dr. Adil Ahmed of Anantnag GMC is directly connected to Tufail. Tufail Ahmed Bhatt is accused of hatching a criminal conspiracy along with other associates to wage war against the country and collect state-of-the-art arms and ammunition for terrorist activities.
Jamir Ahmed Ahang is being considered as a ‘white collar terrorist’. These people live like ordinary citizens so that they can avoid the eyes of security agencies.
Let us tell you that on November 10, 2025, there was an explosion in a Hyundai i20 car parked near Gate No. 1 of Red Fort metro station. After this the authorities sent seven vehicles of fire brigade personnel to the spot. At least 12 people died and 24 were injured in the blast. Delhi Police has taken the owner of the car into custody.
Taking NIA’s arguments seriously, the court has sent both the accused on 10-day police custody remand. Now the agency will interrogate them about other sleeper cells of this entire module. Regarding Dr. Umar Un Nabi, NIA had claimed that he was a ‘suicide bomber’ in the Red Fort blast. More than 10 people have been arrested so far in this attack.
