Income tax raid at the house of BSP’s only MLA Umashankar Singh, more than 50 officers are investigating along with the police.
Lucknow. The Income Tax team has raided the house of BSP MLA Umashankar Singh in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. More than 50 Income Tax officers along with the police are investigating his house. During this period, there has been a ban on anyone coming and going there. Umashankar Singh’s residence and office is located in Gomtinagar area of the capital Lucknow.

Umashankar Singh is the only MLA of BSP. He is suffering from cancer. His operation has been done. He lives in isolation in his Lucknow residence. During the Income Tax raid, movement of doctors and nurses has also been banned. During this raid, more than 50 officers along with the police team are taking action at his house.
At the same time, this sudden action taken due to investigation related to financial transactions and property of Umashankar Singh has created a stir in the political circles. More than 50 officers and employees are involved in the raid and heavy force is deployed. However, an official statement from the department is awaited.
Let us tell you that BSP MLA Umashankar Singh is a big contractor of PWD. Recently, there was a lot of war of words with UP government minister Dayashankar Singh. Actually, the dispute had escalated between Dayashankar Singh and Umashankar Singh regarding the inauguration of a bridge in Ballia, after which both the leaders targeted each other fiercely. The political temperature in the state had increased regarding this matter.
