The flight remained stuck on the runway for 5 hours, more than 200 passengers were stranded inside
On Tuesday, more than 200 passengers had to wait inside the plane for about five hours on an Indigo flight from Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu, to Singapore. This time was more than their actual flight time. A video of the incident went viral on social media, in which passengers are seen expressing their displeasure at the airline staff. According to the information, flight number 6E1025 was scheduled to depart at 7:30 am.
Passengers were allowed to board from 6:30 am but the plane could not take off on time. Passengers allege that the air conditioning in the aircraft cabin was repeatedly switching on and off, leading to suffocation-like conditions. He claimed that small children, elderly people and working people continued to face problems in the plane.

In a video shared on social media, some passengers are heard saying that they were kept on the plane for a long time without being given any clear reason. Some passengers also alleged that they were threatened by CISF personnel when they sought permission to disembark due to inconvenience. According to passengers, the pilot had left the plane during the delay citing duty deadlines. Later, a pilot arrived at 11 am, after which the flight took off at 12 noon.

Delay due to technical fault
A statement issued by IndiGo said that the pilot found the cabin temperature higher than normal and informed the engineering team. The problem took time to resolve and during this time the cockpit crew’s duty hours exceeded the Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL), so alternative crew had to be arranged.

The airline says that passengers were informed about the situation from time to time and refreshments were also provided to them. There has been a difference in the claims of passengers and the airline regarding the matter.
