DGCA’s whip on the plane crash that took the life of Ajit Pawar! 4 plots of VSR Ventures were razed, ‘negligence of death’ revealed: – ..

New Delhi/Baramati. After the tragic plane crash that occurred on January 28, 2026 in Baramati, Maharashtra, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has taken a very strict step. Five people, including Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, lost their lives in this horrific accident. Now, taking strict action in this matter, DGCA has banned the flight of four Learjet 40/45 aircraft of VSR Ventures Private Limited with immediate effect. The audit conducted by the special team of DGCA has exposed gross negligence of the aviation company and major lapses in safety standards, which has created a stir in the entire aviation sector.

Special safety audit exposes negligence

Considering the sensitivity of the Baramati accident and the death of the VVIP, DGCA had ordered a ‘Special Safety Audit’ of the company. A multi-disciplinary team was formed for this high-level investigation, which closely examined the fitness, maintenance and flying methods of VSR Ventures’ aircraft. There have been surprising revelations in the investigation report. The team found that many fixed and necessary rules related to airworthiness of aircraft, air safety system and flight operations were being openly violated.

Will not be able to fly until deficiencies are removed

DGCA has clarified in its official statement that during the audit, many serious technical flaws have been found in the maintenance process. In view of these security deficiencies and fatal risks, as a precautionary measure, all four registered LearJet 40/45 aircraft of the company have been grounded with immediate effect. The regulatory body has given strict instructions that until the planes are completely repaired for safety and they do not pass all the airworthiness standards, these planes will not be able to fly in the sky.

DGCA seeks answer to ‘Root Cause Analysis’

The action has not been limited to just stopping the planes. The civil aviation regulator has issued strict instructions to VSR Ventures to submit a detailed ‘Root Cause Analysis’ report on all the deficiencies found while seeking response from them. DGCA will further evaluate the corrective steps taken by the company only on the basis of this report.

Rohit Pawar said- ‘We were already raising questions’

After this strict action of DGCA, political rhetoric has also intensified. Commenting on this action, NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) MLA Rohit Pawar said that his family has been raising the issue of ignoring rules and flouting security by VSR Ventures since the beginning. Rohit Pawar alleged that he was continuously saying that the company was operating the planes arbitrarily by ignoring the set standards. He said that today the DGCA report has confirmed our apprehensions and their planes have been grounded on the basis of ‘non-compliance’.
