It is a do or die match for both teams and Team India is determined to leave no stone unturned. Ahead of this important match, the two star players of the “Men in Blue” took refuge in God.
Abhishek and Akshar sought God’s blessings
Team India opener Abhishek Sharma and vice-captain Akshar Patel visited the famous Marundeshwar temple in Thiruvanmiyur near Chennai early on February 26 to pray and seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. A photo of both the players is going viral on social media. Team India players and coaches frequently visit temples before international matches. Moreover, Indian cricket fans will be praying for West Indies to lose against South Africa at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday, which would ease India’s path to the semi-finals. India’s batting coach spoke about the left-right team. However, both Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan are left-handed openers. This begs the question: Will Abhishek Sharma be dropped against Zimbabwe? Or will there be a change in Ishan Kishan’s batting position? Also, can Sanju Samson be included in the final eleven to form a left-right team?
