Israel will invest in India: PM Modi visits technology exhibition, invites companies

Jerusalem. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited Israeli technology companies to invest in India and partner with Indian youth. He visited an exhibition on Wednesday showcasing cutting-edge innovations in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), healthcare and agriculture. During this time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was also present with him.

While giving information on social media on Thursday, Prime Minister Modi wrote that a glimpse of “special innovations” of the technology world was seen in the exhibition. He said, “Saw the pioneering work of Israeli youth in fields like artificial intelligence, quantum, healthcare, cyber security, water resources, agriculture etc. Urged Israeli companies to invest in India and work with our talented youth.

According to the press release, the exhibition was attended by leading Israeli companies and research institutions specializing in agro-technology, water-technology, climate-technology, health-biotechnology, smart transportation, AI, cyber security and quantum technology. The release said that innovation and technology partnership is the main foundation of India-Israel bilateral relations.

Both countries are working together to develop solutions to modern challenges through the ‘India-Israel Innovation Bridge’ initiative. During this, the Prime Minister interacted with scientists, technology entrepreneurs and CEOs of various companies. Addressing the innovators, the Prime Minister said that the cutting-edge technology displayed has immense potential to take India-Israel cooperation to new heights in startups, innovation and business partnerships, especially in the areas of agriculture, water management, healthcare and digital services.

He urged Israeli companies to explore investment, manufacturing and technology partnership opportunities in India and work with Indian youth to jointly develop solutions to global challenges. Prime Minister Modi reached Israel on Wednesday on a two-day visit. This is his second visit to Israel in nine years.
