Indian Under-20 women’s team played a draw with Swedish club Enskade IK Dam
New Delhi. The Indian Under-20 women’s football team played a 1-1 draw with Swedish club Enschede IK Dam in a practice match played at the Boson National Sports Center in Lidingö, Sweden on Wednesday night.
For India, Sibani Devi Nongmeikapam gave the team the lead by scoring a goal in the 44th minute. However, in the last moments of the match, in the 88th minute, Enschede scored an equalizing goal to make the score 1-1.
India Under-20 team head coach Joakim Alexandersson made eight changes in the starting eleven compared to the previous match. The Indian team had defeated Tabby FK 4-0 in their last match, whereas before that they had to face a 0-6 defeat against Hammarby IF.
Young Tigres will now play another practice match against Swedish club Karlbergs BK on February 28. The tour is part of preparations for this year’s AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup in Thailand.
