Traveler loaded with tourists from Tamil Nadu collides with truck in Bihar, one dead
Dehri on Son. A traveler carrying tourists from Tamil Nadu collided with a truck from behind in the early hours of Thursday near Suara village of Dehri Mufassil police station area on the national highway in Rohtas district of Bihar. One tourist died and 19 people were injured in the accident. 24 people were traveling on the traveler.
The injured have been admitted to Narayana Medical College Hospital. According to the police, a traveler loaded with tourists from Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, hit a truck from behind in the early hours of Thursday. In which 72-year-old Raju M, a resident of Abraham Street, Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, died on the spot.
19 people including the driver and the food provider, a resident of Varanasi from Uttar Pradesh, were injured. According to the injured Sanjay Pal, a resident of Varanasi who was providing food to the tourists, 24 tourists from Kanchipuram were going from Varanasi to Gayaji in a traveller.
At around 3 in the morning, driver Sonu Pal dozed off and hit a truck from behind. Police reached the spot and took all the injured out of the Traveler and took them to the hospital. Among the injured, Kavita (47), Kayal Kannan (50), Silva (43), Divyadarshini (19), K.Pari (10), Srilatha (50) and Balaji K (49) are seriously injured.
According to Police Station Head Nitish Kumar, the relatives of the deceased and injured have been informed about the incident. The family members of the deceased have left Chennai by flight. Postmortem of the body is being conducted. Police is investigating the matter.
