Samsung Galaxy S26 series launched: Smartphone game will change with 2nm chipset and Agentic AI
New Delhi: South Korean tech giant Samsung has officially launched its new flagship smartphone series Samsung Galaxy S26 series. This series includes Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra. This time the company has focused on making the smartphone smarter and user-friendly by keeping the camera, performance and AI experience at the center.
The company says that in the new Galaxy S26 series, AI works continuously in the background, so that the user does not need to give manual inputs again and again. The phone tries to help itself by understanding the user’s habits, so that everyday tasks become easier than before.
Ultra Thinnest and New Privacy Display
Galaxy S26 Ultra is said to be the company’s thinnest Ultra smartphone till date, whose thickness is 7.9mm. It has a new Privacy Display, which helps in protecting the screen from the eyes of others in public places. This feature can prove to be especially useful in places like metro, cafe or office.
According to Samsung, it is different from traditional privacy glass because hardware level privacy glass has been used in it. Users can choose to hide any part of the display through settings.

Galaxy S26 Ultra has been launched in three variants:
- 256GB storage + 12GB RAM: ₹1,39,999
- 512GB storage + 12GB RAM: ₹1,59,999
- 1TB Storage + 16GB RAM: ₹1,89,999
- The Galaxy S26 Plus is available in two variants:
- 256GB + 12GB RAM: ₹1,19,999
- 512GB + 12GB RAM: ₹1,39,999
The base model (256GB + 12GB RAM) of Galaxy S26 has been priced at ₹ 87,999, while the 512GB variant will be available for ₹ 1,07,999.
With this, the company has launched Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 for ₹ 16,999 and Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro for ₹ 22,999.
Upgrade in performance and charging
The new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor has been provided in Galaxy S26 Ultra, which improves the multitasking and gaming experience. Qualcomm’s 3nm based chipset will be available in this model in India.
Whereas Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus have 2nm based Exynos 2600 chipset. The company claims that this is the world’s first chipset based on 2 nanometer architecture.
Changes have also been made in the matter of charging. Super Fast Charging 3.0 support is available in the phone, about which the company says that the battery gets charged up to 75 percent in 30 minutes.
Big improvement in camera and video
Galaxy S26 Ultra has an upgraded camera system with 200 megapixel wide and 50 megapixel telephoto lens. This smartphone supports 8K video recording at 30fps. Low light photography and Nightography video features have also been improved.
The Super Steady feature has been strengthened to reduce the effect of hand shaking during video shooting. The selfie camera has also been improved, so that facial colors look more natural in different lighting. Focus on the subject can be maintained during video recording through the auto framing feature.
Steps towards Agentic AI
Agentic AI has been given prominence in this series. The Now Nudge feature provides important suggestions at the right time and reminds you of important things without creating a clutter of notifications.
Prompt based editing option has been given in the gallery, where users can edit photos by writing. Many new editing tools including object removal have been added.
Bixby has also been made smarter, so that users can control the phone by speaking in normal language. Apart from this, Now Brief and Circle to Search features have also been improved. The phone also has support for AI tools like Gemini and Perplexity AI.
Security and update assurance
Keeping security in mind, Private Album feature has been provided in the phone, in which photos and videos can be kept locked separately. The company has promised that the Galaxy S26 series will get OS and security updates for seven years.
Galaxy Buds4 also launched
Galaxy Buds4 and Buds4 Pro have also been introduced with the Galaxy S26 series. Buds4 Pro has a bigger woofer for better sound. Noise cancellation and call quality have been improved. These buds also include AI features, due to which the voice is heard more clearly during calls.
Design and color options
The Galaxy S26 series has been introduced with a premium design and many new color options have been given in it. The company says that this series is not just a new smartphone launch, but a big step towards AI future. The company wants the user to feel less technology and get more benefits.
