Congress MP from Wayanad Priyanka Gandhi told the media on Thursday, “…all over the world, people whose names have appeared in the Epstein files and who are in public office have resigned. But here, our government feels that there is no moral accountability towards the public. There is moral accountability. If your name appears in such a file, and not just your name, but if you have repeatedly exchanged emails and you were clearly aware of the activities of this person, and you interacted with him.” And if you have been holding meetings, and you are a minister, then you have some moral accountability towards the people of your country. We have seen this all over the world.

Priyanka further wrote, “In other countries, ministers and members of royal families have also been arrested, investigated, and resigned. But here, it doesn’t seem at all that you have any responsibility towards the people who voted for you and put you in that position. And if you are talking to a convicted pedophile and criminal, then there should definitely be some accountability.”
