New Delhi . Kidney is one of the important organs of the body. Kidneys work to remove toxins and waste materials from the body. It removes acid from the body and balances water, salt and minerals. Without a healthy balance of nerves, muscles and tissues, the human body cannot function properly. Do you know that some of our daily bad habits have a very bad effect on the kidneys. If these are not taken care of in time, they can cause kidney failure or damage.
Overuse of pinkillers-
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) work to relieve pain. But many people are unaware that they can damage the kidneys very quickly. Especially people who already have kidney related problems should be more careful. Reduce the regular use of NSAIDs and take them only on doctor’s advice.
Salt-
A diet high in sodium (salt) increases blood pressure, which also increases the risk of kidney-related diseases. Therefore, doctors recommend using other spices instead of salt in food.
Processed food-
Processed foods are full of sodium and phosphorous, so their consumption can cause great harm to our kidneys. Processed food with high phosphorus not only harms your kidneys, but it can also prove fatal for our bones.
Not keeping the body hydrated-
Keeping the body hydrated removes toxins and excess sodium. Therefore we should drink enough water during the day. Drinking water also reduces the risk of kidney stones. Doctors say that a healthy person should drink about 4 to 5 liters of water a day.
Sugar-
Excess consumption of sugar promotes obesity and also increases the risk of diabetes and high blood pressure. Both these diseases can damage a person’s kidneys. Therefore, we should avoid eating too much of things like sweet biscuits or white bread which contain too much sugar.
sitting at one place-
Sitting at one place all day long or keeping the body completely inactive can also cause kidney disease. This kind of bad lifestyle has a very bad effect on our kidneys. Exercise regularly to keep blood pressure and metabolism in check. With this our kidneys will also remain fine.
Meat-
Animal protein generates high amounts of acid in the blood. It can damage our kidneys and cause acidosis. Acidosis is a disease in which the human kidney is unable to expel acid quickly enough.
