The incident took place at Pailapool market under the jurisdiction of Lakhipur police station between Monday and Tuesday night, he said. Police also said that an FIR has been registered in the case of demolition of the statue of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. Police have detained one person and seized the digging machine, but have not yet arrested the driver.
