Samsung’s new step: expansion of AI technology
Leading consumer electronics manufacturer Samsung has announced that it is now going to include artificial intelligence (AI) technology in its affordable smartphones, allowing ordinary consumers to also benefit from AI features.
A senior official of the company shared this information on Wednesday on the occasion of the launch of Galaxy AI series premium smartphone ‘S26’.
Raju Pullan, senior vice president, MX Business, Samsung India, said that AI features will now be available in their cheapest models as well.
Galaxy A07 5G: new model of affordable smartphone
The company has recently launched the Galaxy A07 5G model in the market at a starting price of Rs 15,000, which includes AI-related features.
“We are expanding the smartphone market by bringing AI features to entry-level models,” Pullan said in the conversation.
When asked about the impact of AI features in affordable phones, he said that the company’s main focus is on providing more value to consumers. For this, Samsung is collaborating with various technology platforms and partner companies.
AI technology for better experience
He said, ‘Samsung is acquiring the best technology by partnering with many platforms, so that customers can get a better experience across all models.’
Phones can simplify everyday tasks with AI features, such as better photo editing, smart summaries of calls and messages, translation, voice command actions, and battery management. Now these facilities will not be limited to expensive phones only.
Pullan estimated that sales of Galaxy A-series phones will surpass 100 million units by 2026.

Regarding Samsung’s premium model S26, he said that a big structural change is going to come in the smartphone industry with this Galaxy AI phone.
He said, ‘I think the era of the traditional smartphone is coming to an end. Now the era of AI phones will begin. The AI features of this phone will take the smartphone experience to new heights.
Samsung is strengthening its retail network in small and medium towns to increase its sales. ‘Experience points’ will be set up at more than 10,000 stores across the country, where customers can experience AI features.
According to market research firm Counterpoint, Samsung’s share in smartphone sales in India in the December 2025 quarter was 13 percent, while Apple’s share was 12 percent. Companies like Vivo and Oppo also have a strong position in the market.
