Zimbabwe out of T20 World Cup 2026, South Africa qualified, knockout match will be played between IND vs WI

IND vs ZIM: India has defeated Zimbabwe by 72 runs in its second match of Super-8. With this defeat, Zimbabwe is out of the World Cup. Whereas Team India has maintained itself in the race for the semi-finals. In this match played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Team India scored 256 runs for 4 wickets, the second highest score in T20 World Cup history. In reply, Zimbabwe team could score only 184 runs for 6 wickets.

Zimbabwe out of T20 World Cup 2026

Zimbabwe team is now out of T20 World Cup 2026. Zimbabwe had made its place in the Super-8 by defeating teams like Australia and Sri Lanka in the group stage, but in the Super-8, Zimbabwe could not perform well and were out of the tournament after winning the first 2 matches. In the first match, West Indies defeated by 107 runs. Now in the second match India has defeated by 72 runs.

South Africa qualified for the semi-finals

Whereas South Africa has qualified for the semi-finals of T20 World Cup 2026. South Africa has become the first team to reach the semi-finals from Group-A. South Africa has made it to the semi-finals with 4 points. South Africa defeated India in the first match. After this, defeated West Indies in the second match.

There will be a knockout match between India and South Africa

Now a knockout match will be played between India and West Indies. The team that wins this match will become the second team from Group A to reach the semi-finals of T20 World Cup 2026. Whereas the losing team will be out of the tournament. The knockout match between India and West Indies will be played on March 2 at the historic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
