Initiative to save endangered cows

The government says that earlier there was a tradition of mass cow herding in rural areas. A person used to graze all the cows of the village throughout the day and bring them back in the evening. In return he was given grains or remuneration. With time this system ended and now people leave the cattle free, due to which road accidents and other problems are increasing. The objective of the scheme is to revive this traditional system and ensure better care of the cattle.
