Modi 3.0: PM Modi’s advice to ministers to accelerate reforms…

The ‘Modi 3.0’ government under the leadership of Narendra Modi has given important instructions to the Union Ministers to speed up the pace of reforms. All ministers have been asked to personally present the major reforms related to their respective ministries in the next cabinet meeting.

New Delhi: In the third term of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government, which is being commonly called “Modi 3.0”, special instructions have been given to all central ministries to accelerate administrative reforms. Before the next Cabinet meeting, ministers have been asked to individually present the major reforms undertaken by their respective ministries till June 2024 and their impacts.

This process will be different from normal cabinet meetings, because this time the ministers themselves will present a detailed account of the achievements and reforms of their ministry to the Prime Minister. The main focus of the government is on reforms related to ‘Ease of Living’ and ‘Ease of Doing Business’.

Instructions to ministries to submit report by March 2

Cabinet Secretary T.V. According to the official communication issued by Somanathan, all ministries will have to submit a two-page report of their major reforms by March 2. In this report, ministries are expected to clearly mention the major reforms they have implemented, their objectives and their impact on the general public and industries.

According to government sources, a detailed format has also been sent to the ministries, in which they will have to present their reforms and their outcomes under four major categories. These reforms include changes made in laws, policies, notifications, rules and administrative procedures.

Instructions issued after the meeting in ‘Seva Teerth’

This instruction was issued after the cabinet meeting held at ‘Seva Teerth’, the new premises of the Prime Minister’s Office. The Prime Minister expressed his wish that all the ministers should personally present the major reforms of their ministry in the next meeting. After this decision, all ministries and departments have intensified their activities. Officials are now analyzing the reforms implemented over the past months and assessing their impact.

The government believes that the ultimate objective of administrative reforms is to make life easier for citizens and simplify procedures for businesses. This includes simplifying licensing processes, reducing regulations, expanding digital services and making government services more transparent.

These reforms also aim to make India more attractive for investment and trade globally. The government is continuously emphasizing on promoting digital governance, transparency and administrative efficiency.
