Indian actress Shilpa Shetty recently spoke about the rumours surrounding her restaurant , Bastian, and her personal life. Over the past six months, she and her husband, Raj Kundra, faced intense public scrutiny, including scam allegations and reports about the possible shutdown of Bastian.
In an interview with Curly Tales, Shilpa discussed the difficulties of staying in the public eye. The Main Khiladi Tu Anari actress said, “It’s a very difficult path to constantly be in the public eye. And there is something called ‘nazar’, we always discuss it.” She explained that despite the challenges, she tried to maintain her values and work integrity.
Shilpa acknowledged that media coverage affected her personally but said she learned to manage it. “It’s sad. I believe we’ve always stood our ground. As a company and as people, we’re known for our integrity,” she added.
She noted that her celebrity status often made her a target for sensational news. “But I think as a celebrity, the unfortunate part is that my name has become like clickbait. So I’ve taken it in my stride,” she said.
Regarding the rumours about Bastian, the Dhadkan actress decided to respond to protect the brand she had built.Normally, she follows the philosophy of “never complain, never explain,” but she made an exception for Bastian.“But this time it was about a brand, a brand we’ve put so important love, passion, and effort into,” she stated.
Shilpa also highlighted a positive outcome from the attention. She said, “The PR we gained out of it, people thought it was bad PR, but you can’t build that kind of PR, for the love of money. We actually got that PR organically.”
