Stock Market Today: Fall in domestic stock markets, these companies included in Sensex and Nifty got a shock.
Mumbai. Sensex and Nifty fell in early trade on Friday amid weakness in global markets and withdrawal of foreign capital. BSE Sensex fell 364.62 points to 81,883.99 in early trade while NSE Nifty slipped 117.15 points to 25,379.40.
Among the 30 companies included in the Sensex, shares of Maruti, Bharti Airtel, Hindustan Unilever, Mahindra & Mahindra, Kotak Mahindra Bank and UltraTech Cement recorded the biggest decline. Whereas shares of Infosys, Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech and Eternal remained on the rise.
In Asian markets, South Korea’s Kospi, Japan’s Nikkei 225 and China’s SSE Composite remained in decline while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng remained in the positive zone. American markets closed mainly with a decline on Thursday. The price of international standard Brent crude fell by 0.07 percent to $ 70.70 per barrel.
According to stock market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were buyers on Thursday and sold shares worth Rs 3,465.99 crore. On the other hand, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 5,031.57 crore.
