Sidharth Malhotra-Parineeti Chopra’s ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’ in theaters again, release date final

Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra’s 2014 romantic comedy-drama **Hasee Toh Phasee** is scheduled to re-release in theaters on **March 6, 2026**. Dharma Productions announced it on Instagram: “Meeta, Nikhil and their chemistry is back where it belongs – on the big screen! #HaseeToPhasi is re-releasing in theaters on 6th March.” India’s largest cinema chain, PVR INOX, is collaborating with Dharma Productions to bring back the film, which will give fans a nostalgic big screen experience during the quiet time of Holi, when there are no major new releases.

Directed by **Vinil Mathew** in his directorial debut and produced by **Karan Johar** (under Dharma Productions, along with Vikas Bahl and others), the film was a sleeper hit upon its release on January 7, 2014. It is a feel-good love story of quirky, introverted Meeta (Parineeti) and charming Nikhil (Siddharth) that is a mix of romance, humor and family drama. The supporting cast includes **Adaa Sharma**, **Manoj Joshi**, **Sharat Saxena**, and **Neena Kulkarni**.

This re-release takes advantage of the new popularity brought about by the viral trend of 2025: Parineeti’s famous dialogue—“Sensations like sarsharat, sansana, guddaat, dagamagaat, farahaat, trembling, kakapaaht…”—which sums up her character’s “sensations,” is remixed into a catchy audio by music producer Pextile Was. It took over Instagram Reels, inspiring users to recreate it. Parineeti also joined the fun with her reel, which brought back old memories. The unique charm of the dialogue, combined with the film’s cult status for its sharp writing and chemistry, makes it a timely re-release.

Fans are excited for its comeback, with the post calling it a perfect nostalgic treat. Bookings are expected from PVR INOX and other chains.
