Housing Board notice to Mahendra Singh Dhoni, case of opening pathlab in the house received from the government

Ranchi: Jharkhand State Housing Board has started investigation into the alleged commercial use of the residential plot at ‘Shaurya’, the Harmu residence of former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. A formal notice has been issued to Dhoni by the board.

The notice mentions that plot number H-10 (A) located at Harmu Housing Colony, which was allotted only for residential use, is allegedly being used for commercial activity — a pathology lab. According to the Housing Board, this is a violation of the allotment conditions.

The board has given Dhoni the last opportunity to present his side in the notice. It has been clarified that if the reply is not submitted within the stipulated time, it may be recommended to cancel the allotment of the concerned plot.

It is noteworthy that during the Chief Minister tenure of Arjun Munda in the year 2006, Dhoni was allotted this residential plot in Harmu Housing Colony. Recently, after information about the operation of a lab named Newberg Supratech came to light, there was a possibility of violation of rules. In this context, the Housing Board has issued a notice a few days ago.
