Tension on the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan has reached its peak. After Afghanistan’s retaliatory action, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken a tough stance and said that the Pakistan Army will give a befitting reply to any attack. Referring to the strength of the Pakistani Army in his statement released on social media, Sharif said that our army has the full capability to crush the intentions of the enemy.
Sharif stressed, ‘Pakistan’s citizens and security forces are always ready to protect the security, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.’ He appreciated the dynamic role of the armed forces under the leadership of Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
The Pakistani Army is equipped with professional capability, high level training and strong defensive strategies, capable of facing any internal or external threat. Sharif made it clear that there will be no compromise in the defense of the country and every attack will be countered boldly.
Pakistan has always supported peace, but the integrity of the country will not be allowed to be affected. The entire country is standing shoulder to shoulder with the army.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar held discussions over phone with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan. They shared views on regional developments, especially the Pak-Afghan border tension. Dar mentioned the successful air operations conducted under ‘Operation Ghazab Lil Haq’, which were carried out without provocation. Both stressed regional peace and agreed to remain in close contact.
