Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has officially returned to Spanish football but this time his impact will be felt in the boardroom.

The 41-year-old superstar announced on Thursday, February 26, 2026, that he has purchased a 25% stake in the Spanish club UD Almeria.

The investment was made through his newly formed company, CR7 Sports Investments. While the exact cost of the deal remains private, the move marks a major milestone in Ronaldo’s transition toward life after his playing career.

Almeria, currently competing in Spain’s second division, is ranked third in the league and is fighting for a promotion back to the top-tier La Liga.
