‘Heated Rivalry’ gets exciting update for season 2?
Fans might not have to wait so long for Heated Rivalry season 2.
There might be confirmation on when the next episodes of the Canadian sensation, based on the Game Changers books by Rachel Reid will start filming and when it is likely to hit screens.
During his chat with CBS Morningson February 26, showrunner Jacob Tierney hinted at the second season, saying, “We’re writing it now, we’re getting ready to start shooting this summer.”
“There will be more Heated Rivalry on TVs as soon as humanly possible,” he added.
As per Varietyfans may be able to enjoy the new episodes as soon as April 2027.
Jacob also shared his thoughts on what has made the series such a massive hit and a fan favourite.
“It’s very romantic, I think that’s what it is. It has the hallmarks and trappings of a real classic romance,” he remarked. “Years of yearning and longing; trying to get together and do the right thing for each-other and not being able to.”
“What the show is, that I think is a rarity, is it is laser-focussed on that love story; there’s not a lot of diversion from it.”
The sports romance Heated Rivalry stars Hudson Williams (Shane Hollander) and Connor Storrie (Ilya Rozanov) as leads.
