Tata Sierra EV Speeded Again – 65kWh Battery, Fast Charging and Launch Confirmed in June 2026

Tata Sierra EV – The most talked name in the electric car world right now is the Sierra EV. It has been spotted several times during road testing, and now there are clear indications that this SUV could be launched between April and June of the second quarter of 2026. Interestingly, it will be manufactured at Tata’s Sanand plant, the same plant where the ICE version is also being built.

Tata already leads the Indian EV segment with nearly 40% market share. After the recent launch of the Punch EV facelift, the company is now preparing to make another big move with the Sierra EV. So let’s know its details.

design

If you have seen ICE Sierra, Sierra EV will look like you to a great extent. Tata wants to repeat the same success with this model as the ICE version. The popularity of ICE Sierra, which has exceeded more than one lakh bookings, strengthens the expectations of this EV.

Talking about design, a closed-off grill will be provided in the front, which is the hallmark of EV. Light changes can be seen in front and back detailing, but the full look will be more premium and polished.

The new Sierra EV may also have exclusive color options, allowing it to be distinguished from the ICE model. Overall, this SUV will be reminiscent of the old Sierra, but with future technology.

Interior and Features

Talking about interior, you will get the feel of technology as soon as you sit inside. The Sierra EV is likely to have three screen setups with two 12.3-inch large screens and a 10.25-inch instrument cluster. This setup will make driving digital and interactive.

The front seats will be ventilated, the driver seat will be powered and the cabin will be even more open and luxury with panoramic sunroof. A premium audio system with Dolby support can also be found, making long drives and fun.

Like Tata’s other EV cars, it is expected to have V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) and V2V (Vehicle-to-Vehicle) charging facilities. Meaning your car will be able to power another device or even another EV if needed.

Performance and Range

Let me tell you that Sierra EV will be placed under Harrier EV in the company’s lineup. It is likely to receive a 65 kWh battery pack, which is also seen in the Harrier EV. The estimated range with this battery can range from 500 to 550 kilometers. That is, once full charge and long journey.

Talking about the same charging, DC fast charging support up to 120 kW is expected. This will allow the car to be charged more in less time. Also, both RWD and AWD options are likely to be found.

Integrated Drive Unit

Tata can use the Integrated Drive Unit in this EV, as in Punch EV. In this technology, the main components including the motor fit into a single housing. If Tata adopts this technology, it will be easy to keep the price of Sierra EV competitive.

launch

Talking about its launch, according to the company’s commercial officer Vivek Srivatsa, Sierra EV will be produced at the Sanand plant. Although the exact date has not yet been revealed, its entry between April and June 2026 is considered almost certain.
