According to media reports, Sangeeta has filed a divorce petition under the Special Marriage Act, 1954. In the petition, she has made the grounds of adultery (Section 27(1)(a)) and cruelty (Section 27(1)(d)). The petition claims that in the year 2021, she came to know that Vijay was in a relationship with an actress. Sangeeta alleges that Vijay had promised to end the relationship, but later he neither expressed any remorse nor ended the relationship.

25 year old relationship

Vijay and Sangeeta were married in August 1999. The married life of both is more than 25 years. The couple has two children – son Jason Sanjay and daughter Divya Sasha. It is being told that this matter is currently pending in the district court.
