Ticket clerk at Anand Vihar station accused of cheating, DRM Delhi suspended after woman’s viral video

Ticket Scam Viral Video: An incident that came to light at Anand Vihar railway station has created a stir on social media. In the viral video, a woman is seen standing in front of the ticket counter alleging that the clerk took Rs 1000 from her and returned Rs 800 and did not even give her the ticket.

The woman describes herself as a resident of Bihar and a poor labourer. She says there was no man with her, so she was considered easy prey. As soon as he became suspicious, he immediately took out his mobile and started making video and recorded the entire incident.

Railway clerk scammed a woman

The woman told in the video that she also called the police on number 112, but she did not get any immediate help on the spot. After this, social media users raised the issue and tagged railway officials and demanded action.

Many people wrote that such incidents have happened before and transparency at the ticket counter is necessary. The video quickly went viral and thousands of people shared it.

Booking clerk suspended

Delhi Division of Northern Railway responded to the matter. DLI Division NR informed on X that the booking clerk has been identified and immediately suspended and a departmental inquiry has been initiated. At the same time, users had also tagged the Railway Ministry and demanded action.

While some people appreciated the promptness of the Railways, some said that such incidents happen frequently and strict monitoring is necessary. At present, this case has become an example of the fact that when citizens raise their voice for their rights, the system also has to respond.
